An impromptu visit to Bald Man Brewing found us in a nice space with a comfortable vibe including a large garage door that leads out to a sunny patio. I kind of wish they had some larger tables but that’s a quibble as I’m here for the beer not the tables. With that said, we went for the full flight as listed here:
- Heart of Glass Blond - fruity, malt, light, hint of hops 6.9
- Honey hush kolsch - light, bright, smooth, citrus 8
- Tupelo Honey brown ale - sweet, musty, wants to be a Belgian 4.8
- Penny Lane ESP - coffee like bitterness, vaguely beery, not much else 6
- Dark Side of the Moon Porter - roasted caramel, rich an creamy, sweet and warming, develops over time 7.5
- Young American pale ale - balanced hops and malt, refreshing, long finish 7.8
- Misty Mountain Hops IPA - confused look on my face 3.9
- Purple Haze bro - hoppy grapefruit, not too harsh, balanced 8.5
A decent place that I would visit if in the neighborhood but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.
